Read again
Books in good condition can be resold or passed on so somebody else gets to enjoy them.
New, old, well read or worn out. Bring them along. We’ll find the best next use for every book we can.
If you’re clearing a shelf, moving house or simply finished with a pile of books, there’s no need to decide what is worth donating. We accept books in all conditions and sort them after collection.
Books that can be read again are kept in use. Educational books can be directed back towards schools and learning settings where suitable. Books that have reached the end of their usable life are responsibly recycled.

Suitable educational books, textbooks and children’s learning materials can be redirected to schools and other learning settings.
Torn covers, missing pages and heavy wear do not mean you need to throw a book away. If it cannot reasonably be reused, we’ll send it for responsible recycling where possible.
A damaged book may still have another use. Bring it with the rest and we’ll make that call. If it really is beyond reuse, we’ll handle it responsibly rather than asking you to throw it away.
